At the core of Keur-Amy Langseth's ethos lies a fervent commitment to democratising cultural heritage. The brand's signature luxury handbags, meticulously handcrafted using bio leather and chrome-free cowhide, metamorphose into vessels of ancestral narratives. A prominent tribute is paid to the KOTA object from Gabon, West Africa, signifying a profound connection to ancestral roots.

Mariama Amy's extensive journey in the fashion industry, spanning roles from management to buying and wholesaling, endowed her with the insights and expertise needed to manifest her vision. Her exposure to both contemporary and tribal art further heightened her creative perspective.

The first collection "Jarra" is named after Amy's belated mother Jarra. Each piece of the collection is like a jewel, adorned with a Kota, the designer's trademark.

The Kota is an ancestral figure used during community ceremonies in Gabon and is renowed for it's protective powers. These sculptures are sometimes refered to as 'reliquary guardian figures' for their role as guardians of the precious contents held within.

The first campaign of the brand is starring Leila Nda, international model of Burundian decent.

For this campaign, the designer wanted to have a model who translated the beauty and diversity of African women and to inspire women to reveal their fashionable, elegant and intriguing selves. The campaign also draws its inspiration in the shapes of tribal sculptures.
